About me
Hi! I’m a certified Veterinary Nurse (Paraveterinair) based in the Netherlands, and I graduated in June 2025. I currently work in a small animal veterinary clinic where I get to do what I love every day: helping pets stay healthy and supporting their owners with practical, honest advice.
In my daily work, I assist in consultations and surgeries, monitor anesthesia, perform laboratory tests, provide nutritional guidance, and help owners understand what’s going on with their pets. No two days are the same, and that’s exactly why I love this profession.
Why I Started This Blog
At the clinic, I often hear the same worried questions:
“My dog has diarrhea, what should I do?”
“Is this normal?”
“should I make an appointment?”
I realized that many pet owners simply need clear, reliable information; without medical jargon, but still based on real veterinary knowledge.
This blog is my place to share:
Practical tips from daily clinical experience
Explanations about common health issues
Advice on when to monitor at home, and when to contact your vet
My Goal
My goal is simple:
To help pet owners feel more confident and less stressed when something is going on with their dog or cat.
This blog does not replace a veterinary consultation, but it can help you better understand what might be happening and how to respond appropriately.
Thank you for being here. I hope my posts help you and your furry family members stay happy and healthy!
Love, Maren
